Orsino’s in love with Olivia, but Olivia’s in love with Cesario. However, Cesario is actually Viola in disguise, and Viola’s in love with Orsino, but he thinks she’s a man … a knot that only time can untie!

In your imagination let us transport you to the island of Illyria as Harpenden’s High Street Players present an open-air production of Shakespeare’s hilarious comedy of mistaken identity. Bring your family and friends; buy a drink at our bar in Cornelia’s café (open from 7.00 p.m.)  before settling down to enjoy the performance.

Every outdoor performance is unique as the changing light and weather contribute to the atmosphere. In the event of heavy showers it may be necessary to stop and restart the show. However, the performance will not be cancelled unless the weather makes it impossible to continue. We advise bringing waterproofs (not umbrellas, unless you intend to sit at the back) and something warm as cooler evenings are not unknown in Harpenden – even in July.
